146 fish for today....So much better, maybe Tami is onto something.  We are in the same spot as yesterday, been jig fishing for most of the day, throwing bait as needed.  Finally feel like I am on a mission.  I think I wiil grind on this spot until I håve to come in, which would be Wednesday of next week.  tomorrow will be the true test.....hope we can get another good day......going to hit the bunk for now.

Well.....I only have 13 fish for today.   We tried the bait thing until about 5 this evening, only had 1 fish.  So we put our jigs in the water and headed West, got another 12.  I am so frustrated, ready to call it a season!  Tami says to stick it out, this is our learning curve......Huh, not so sure about that.  So I am calling it a night, maybe head Southeast tomorrow.  Maybe jigs.....maybe bait.  Wondering what I am doing out here!!!!

We are out here!!  I have a new crew member, Mitchell.  He fished with me about 6 years ago then joined the Marines.  Happy to have him back.  We needed a third guy  for this trip because we are solely bait fishing.  Got the rack welded to the stern and lots of live bait on board.  We were hoping for an evening bite but no luck so far.  I still need to head South a bit so we will be on scene in the morning.  There are 14 other boats in the area, that must mean something good!!! 

Today we are doing a lil' boat work. A good friend, Rick, will be helping me weld a rack onto the stern to stand on while we are bait fishing. I'm hopeful that we will get out today but you never really know how long these things will take. We are just going to work on our bait fishing technique this trip and bringing a 3rd guy, Mitchell, with us. I'm hoping we can get a nice system down. Stay posted, this should be interesting...
