Almost have a trip
We are at 125 fish, hoping the evening bite picks up. Amos isn't used to using a gaff, lost two today. We spun
around both times but couldn't retrieve them.....down to two. We are heading towards the Columbia River, there are reports
of bigger fish about 50 miles off the river. Planning for an early delivery Friday morning..I hope, still need to contact
the cannery, then it will be a busy day loining fish and packing ice up the dock

Day 5
We only have 60 fish so far for today, nobody is really getting em. Tomorrow we will start heading NE to the 1000 fathom
curve, usually there are bigger fish there. Amos and I are going to spend our short time at the dock setting up live
bait tanks, see if we can chum the albacore. This season has been disappointing to say the least, I have to keep reminding
myself it is early.

Day Four
We have 111 fish on so far for today, We ended yesterday with 149. We are going to stay in this spot until Wednesday
then heading North off Cascade Head. Radio talk is "slow" fishing. There are reports of Great White
Sharks off of Seaside. Crazy how the pockets of warm water are spread out so much. This is shaping up to be a strange
year, not the typical pattern we usually see.

Gettin there
109 fish yesterday, 135 so far today. Evening bite was good last night, hoping for at least another 30 tonight, that
would give us our ton for today. There is at least 50 boats in the area, weather is good. 13 lb average, looking
for bigger fish by Wednesday.
