Almost a trip!
Fishing is less than ideal,we have 137 fish on today, hoping for 150. If we get 150 today and 150 tomorrow that will
be 1000 fish for the trip....decent!! Rumor is the price has dropped, makes it harder to make a profit. We found
a flag pole, bouys, and 100 fathoms of line from the F/V Christina Rose. Never have heard of the boat so I guess I will
hold on board, I could use the line and bouy's.....Looks like long line gear, maybe Halibut gear. Boats are everywhere,
very sparadic fishing. Radio talk sounds like better scores outside of us.. tuff call, big liners are here too.
Chasing tuna is frustrating, they are fast little suckers and are constantly moving. I am chalking this trip up
as a bust and looking forward to the next trip.........maybe a little more consistent. Beautiful sunset, a little
windy....Gotta see it to believe it

just another day
Can't say this has been much of a day, we have 80 fish on, nice grade. Soupy fog since we got up, there are a few boats
around so one of us has to be inside while the other pulls the few fish in we are getting. Positive note, fog is clearing,
have maybe a 2 mile visibility.......OH,! fish on!!!........Another fish on.......Yea, side lines just went tight, Jeff is
hollering for help, gotta go....Maybe this is the evening bite that turns this trip around..or maybe not..................

Disapointing Day!
Ended yesterday with 93 fish, we have been driving West all day, only have 101 fish on. Would like to finish the day
with 120. Our grade has been pretty good, figure that would give us our ton for the day. The entire fleet has
scattered, no big scores on the radio.. enough complaining!!!!! This is just how it goes sometimes. Could be worse,
a buddy of mine who has been out since the 4th had to get towed in today because of a breakdown. We will keep looking,
hopefully these tricky tuna will show up.....on the bite!!!!

Frustrated!!!
We ended yesterday with290 fish, today.....only 88 so far. I am very frustrated, we have a good day, then a crappy day.
The fish seem to be everywhere. We are in the same area as yesterday. The water temp is very spotty and the fish
don't seem to be on the bite today. Just want to get this day over, trying to decide if we should run all night further
out...........

Best Day Yet!!!
We have 270 fish on so far, hoping to get 300. Average weight is 13-14 lbs, there are a lot of 20 pounders too.
I pulled in the biggest fish so far, 37 inches. If this keeps up , we could make our next delivery on Saturday.
Gotta remember this is fishing and nothing is for sure. So could possibly make a delivery on Monday too.

Should be on the fish in about 3 hours, weather is still good. Looking forward to pulling in lots of tuna today!!

Trip 2
Just crossed the Columbia River Bar, 89 miles to the fishing grounds! I have the first watch until midnight then
Jeff gets the late one. I have a rockstar on ice, gonna play around with my Coastal Explorer 2009 upgrade. Heading
just inside of where we were last trip off Cascade Head. Reports of 300+ fish scores. Weather is flat calm. Put
on 8 tons of ice and 730 gallons of fuel. Gonna go catch me a boat load of tuna!!!!
