Oregon Tuna, family owned and operated locally, has been fishing the waters of the Pacific Ocean for more than 25 years.
We focus on Tuna with experience in black cod, crab, and salmon.
Our boat, F/V Lihue II, has been operated by long-time
captain Stuart Arnold. Stuart has been fishing since he was only eight years old on numerous boats. Our family has owned
the Lihue II since 1975. Prior to our ownership the boat was used as a tugboat to pull sugar cane barges from Island to Island
in Hawaii. It was originally built in Hawaii in 1939 out of fir.
A unique feature that we offer to our customers
is fresh tuna that has never been frozen. Unlike other local boats that catch and freeze their tuna, we pack ours in layers
of ice, which keeps the fish fresh. We deliver our fish once a week and offer the freshest fish to our customers.
The fish you receive will have been caught within the last 36 hours upon delivery. On average, the fish we catch are 15 pounds,
which is about 7-8 pounds of meat. When loined, you will receive about 50% of the starting weight of the fish. We do offer
loining services at the boat for an additional charge of $6 per fish. This is only optional and you are welcome to take your
fish whole and loin it yourself. We provide ice to get your fish home, however, please bring a cooler to keep it in. For more information about captain, Stuart Arnold, crew members, and family recipes just explore our website. We are happy
to answer any additional questions that you might have. Please just call us at 503.325.5780 or e-mail us at sales@oregontuna.com. To receive updated information about delivery dates and updates to the website, please join our mailing list.
